Oil lamps and kerosene lamps

Lamps and Lanterns with electricity or lamp oil.

The classic kerosene lamp today tends to be increasingly called oil lamp, as it is nowadays often driven with lamp oil instead of kerosene. The lamp oil is a cleaner fuel that is better for the environment and soothes the glasses on the lamps and lanterns less. All our electric lamps are powered by 230 V unless otherwise stated. For oil lamps and lanterns you best use lamp oil to avoid the glass becoming sooty, you should never fill the tank more than 3/4 parts as this can cause it to run over when the fuel gets hot. Also make sure the wick is straight (horizontal) and that it reaches down to the fuel in the tank. The wick is a fresh product that we recommend that you change once a year, otherwise you risk breaking your work when the wick gets tough when it ages.
