Remove glass & burner from tank.
Then fill HIGHLY 3/4 parts of the fuel tank. When heated, the fuel expands.
Put the burner in place & let the lamp "stand & pull" for about 30 min.
Adjust the wick so that it just protrudes over the edge of the burner
Turn on the wick & replace the glass.
It is of the utmost importance to always have a small flame in the beginning otherwise the cold glass will burst.
When the burner has become hot, the flame must be lowered to the appropriate brightness, if the flame is too high soot the lamp.
There must be a distance of at least 50 cm between the lamp & ceiling.
Do you burn too hard discolored lamps with built-in "ceiling".
Extinguish the lamp by blowing out the flame. Then you keep the setting on wick / flame.
A good tip is to replace the wick every year because it swells with time & can damage the growth lift.
Longer exposure in humid & salty environments should be avoided as it damages the varnish of the lamp.
